Literature Text

It was one of those crazy days in which you find yourself chasing a multitude of deadlines.

Which is why you have opted to continue your work in the cafe near your apartment. You're about to go crazy in your apartment alone while all those due papers you were attempting to finish. You hoped the change in environment would help with your mood.

That was how Thomas William Hiddleston 'met' you that first time.

Tom was beat. The rehearsals were vigorous, and he barely had sleep this past week. So instead of asking for his usual cup of Earl Grey, he found himself walking to a nearby cafe. He needed a strong brew of coffee for the next bout of rehearsals this evening.

The coffee shop was a bit crowded when he entered. Tom kept his cap low to avoid unnecessary commotion as he ordered at the counter.

Now for a place to sit...

Practically all of the seats are occupied...well, except for that one spot at the corner of the cafe, where a (h/c) girl sat alone, furiously typing on her laptop.

Perfect.

"Excuse me." The actor cleared his throat. "Would it be okay if I share a seat with you?"

"Sure." You didn't even spare him a glance as you continued typing. "No problem."

"Thank you."

****

Tom couldn't help but watch you as you worked. You are quite...amusing, to say the least. You are currently sitting cross-legged on your seat, furiously typing away as you occasionally talked to yourself. Your glasses are now precariously perched at the tip of your nose, and you did not even notice.

You bit your lip as your wrote something on one of the many papers piled bedside your laptop. You mumbled something that strangely sounded like 'bacteria' and 'vectors' before you resumed typing. You continued to bite on your lip on occasion.

Yes. Tom took a sip from his coffee with a smile. Adorable. Absolutely adorable.

His phone buzzed. Tom broke his glance away from you and into his phone. It was a message from his manager, asking him to meet asap for some changes on the script. The actor sighed.

"It seems like I have to go miss." He gave you a smile, just as you looked up from your laptop. "Thanks for sharing your table with me."

"Sure." Your glasses slid further down the tip of your nose. You were kind of getting crossed-eyed, looking at him from your spectacles like that. Tom had to fight back the urge to slide the glasses back up for you, just to ease your comfort.

Adorable.

With another smile and a small wave, Tom Hiddleston grabbed his half-finished coffee and left the cafe. You continued to stare at the now-vacant seat in front of you. Your deadline-muddled mind pondered on the silent gentleman that you shared your table with. He seemed soooo familiar...

He such a nice smile too.

He really looks familiar. An old classmate perhaps? Have you met him before?

Wait a minute.

OH. MY. GOD.

Your eyes widened. And you felt your brain going into a mini-overdrive. That man...A theatre-enthusiast and Marvel fan such as you...

How could you have not known?

That man you shared your seat with...

...was Thomas William Hiddleston.

Poor reader-chan. But I can totally relate with her. The whole word tends to disappear whenever I'm into something. I'mm pretty sure some of you can relate too~ ^^

Companion fic to my first Hiddles reader-insert fanfic. I'm think on making this multi-chapter - a series of Hiddles/You drabbles that are interrelated, but stand-alone. What would you guys think of that? :)
